身为钢琴家一事在普罗高菲夫的生命中佔有相当重要的部分,知道这点后我就一直希望能把舒伯特、普罗高菲夫和萧邦三人的作品结合在一起。普罗高菲夫1918年离开苏联前往美国的途中,先在日本停留一段时间,他在当地办过多场包含自己和萧邦作品的音乐会。当他抵达美国后,推广单位希望他能在演出清单中加入古典作曲家的作品,於是他改编了舒伯特的华尔滋。把这三位不同作曲家的作品摆在一起的想法让我相当著迷。我将普罗高菲夫的第七号奏鸣曲视为这套曲目的中继点,藉以凸显和另外两首作品的关连。
对我来说,舒伯特的三首钢琴小品无疑是最深沈也最个人化的钢琴作品之一。第一号降E小调主要段落里面,左手脉动规律的三连音加上右手短暂的惊嘆,营造出永不停歇的戏剧效果。原本舒伯特写了两个中段音乐(B大调和降A大调)作为主段落的对比,后来他决定把后者舍弃。由於我想维持作曲家的原始意图,所以在演奏时选择的乐谱是有两个中段的德国亨利版(Henle edition)。降E大调第二号有两部分中段(C小调、降A小调),是相当抒情的乐曲。降A小调的段落有著简单优美的歌唱线条,给予支撑的伴奏,就我个人观点来说是所有古典音乐里面最个人化也最动人的陈述之一。C大调第三号有大量的切分音和异常愉悦的特色。乐曲唯一的降D大调中段音乐是以合唱风的主题为底再加以变化。乐曲到达结尾时(同样堆迭许多切分音),舒伯特一口气将我们带上无上愉悦欢乐的高峰。
普罗高菲夫降B大调第七号钢琴奏鸣曲作品83号的作曲时间介於1939和1942年之间,同时期他著手进行的还有第六、第八号钢琴奏鸣曲。第一乐章的开头主题(焦躁的快板)点出这首作品的主音-降B,普罗高菲夫将前几小节不断拿来作为固定乐思,又在几小节后以明显的方式将其解构摧毁。我们认为应该稳定不变的固定乐思,作曲家却让整个乐章维持这种不安定和脆弱感(当然在表情记号上也是如此)。第二主题则是在不同调性间游走充满恐惧。建立於开头动机之上的发展部儘管力量强大,但几乎没有清楚的调性中心。只有在结尾最后的降B大调和弦才终於确定主音为何。第二乐章(温暖的行板)是普罗高菲夫抒情面的迷人代表,旋律色彩优美动人,夹杂些许轻淡的梦幻色调,最后升至如鐘声般的高潮。过渡至再现部时鐘声彷彿至远处传来,让我联想到经历过无情战火洗礼,万物灭绝的荒野,这幅景象直到再度回归E大调主题才宣告消失,但是乐章的结尾和弦依旧縈绕著死亡的气氛。第三乐章「急促」是低音部分有重复音型(包含降B在内)的7/8 拍触技曲。随著乐章的发展,音响和织体也持续增强直到结尾段落的降B大调才获得解决,同时也宣告一切破坏殆尽。
2011年我造访马约卡岛的法德摩萨修道院时,那种氛围让我相当惊奇。萧邦的24首前奏曲绝大部分都是在1838/39年停留该地时完成,此处至今依旧残留他的精神。大家都知道萧邦相当推崇巴哈,并且将平均律的乐谱携至岛上。他当时正在著手创作24个调性的大型连篇作品,和巴哈不同的地方在於他使了五度圈,并在每个大调之后又紧接著关係小调。萧邦的每首前奏曲都能以简明的形式做出强烈的宣言,每个音符都是用来完成这份宣言。对我来说这套前奏曲是独一无二的宇宙,每一首都能和另一首互补,同时又能保有各自的性格特徵。萧邦允许钢琴家和听眾可以对每首前奏曲选择他们想要的詮释,我认为没有其他作品能像前奏曲这样拥有许多不同的演奏方式。我对前奏曲的见解詮释除了来自研读总谱之外,也包含我对这份独特音乐的个人感受。
阿芙蒂耶娃是2010年华沙萧邦钢琴大赛冠军,距上一位获得此殊荣的女钢琴家阿格丽希已有45年之久,首张个人专辑落脚法国厂牌MIRARE,势必受到各方注目。从舒伯特式的幻想沈思到充满狂暴能量的普罗高菲夫,最后自然而然的以萧邦24首前奏曲作为尾声。萧邦是她相当喜爱的作曲家,年轻的阿芙蒂耶娃以绝妙的钢琴技巧结合活力、表情和诗意的调色盘,挥洒出令人惊艳的琴声。2010、2011、2013三度来台后,2014年9月28日四度访台,足见其受欢迎程度。当天亦将演出专辑内的萧邦前奏曲,若要做欣赏前的準备工作,这将是最棒的收藏。

Biography
After training as a pianist at the Gnessin Special School of Music in Russia, Yulianna Avdeeva has entered Zurich University of the Arts, then International Piano Academy Lake Como where she was taught by Dmitri Bashkirov and Fou Ts’ong. She came to wider attention in 2010 when awarded First Prize at the Chopin Competition in Warsaw. Since then she has pursued an outstanding career that has seen her giving recitals in the world’s foremost venues.
